Userkaf (2504-2496 B.C.)
Userkaf was the founder of the 5th dynasty. He was the first to start the tradition of building sun temples at Abusir. He built the pyramid of Userkaf at Saqqara. He also started the temple of Motnhu at Tod.
Sahure (2496-2483 B.C.)
Sahure constructed an Egyptian navy and sent fleets to trade in the Eastern Mediterranean. HIs pyramid complex was the fist built in the new royal burial ground at Abusir. There are also scenes at his temple of a raid into Libya which brought back various livestock.
Neferirkare (2483-2463 B.C.)
Scholars believe his reign was cut short due to the incomplete nature of his pyramid complex at Abusir. Records are said to have stated that he was a kind and gentle ruler during his reign in the 4th dynasty.
Shepsekare (2463-2456 B.C.)
The only artifacts left from his reign were clay sealings from Abusir. He was also the son of Sahure. Sources show that his reign was very short on lasting a few months.
Neferefre (2456-2445 B.C.)
His pyramid is known as the "Unfinished Pyramid" because it was quickly built and even lacked the same from as pyramids before. While he is said to have reigned for 20 years some scholars have stated that he have only ruled a few years.
Niuserre (2554-2414 B.C.)
The son of Nefererkare he is credited with building not only his own pyramid and solar temple but also completing the monuments to his father and mother. Taking reign in his twenties he was ruler for about 24 years.
Menkauhor (2414 2405 B.C.)
Only one seal bearing his name in alabaster was discovered that proves he existed. His pyramid complex is called NtryiswtMnkwhr. His funerary cult also lasted long after his death
Djedkare (2405 2367 B.C.)
His birth parents are still a mystery and have never been found. He and his wife share space at Saqqara where their pyramids are located.
Unas (2367-2347 B.C.)
He was the last ruler of the 5th dynasty. He is credited with building a small pyramid at Saqqara. The death of Unas signaled the end of the 5th dynasty.
